LEEDS FESTIVAL 2012

So, last Thursday, I made a post entitled 'If everything went perfectly, this would be how I'd like my weekend to go...' (which I'm going to delete after I make this post) and act-wise, this weekend exceeded every expectation I had.

Let me just start with the most important, the best moment of the weekend (and pretty much my entire life) and the least expected moment... I met Paramore.
Paramore are my favourite band in the entire world and I can't think of anything that will top this (bit dramatic?)  but honestly the best 5 minutes of my entire life. I was a shaking teary mess but I remember Jerm asking me for a high 5, Taylor creasing at his face on the picture I'd brought from 2010 and Hayley telling me I had 'gorgeous eyes' (what?!?!?!?) and me telling Hayley she was 'really nice' and that I love her. Whatever, I'm the happiest girl ever (and missing AVA was totally worth it).

I saw: Of Monsters & Men (seriously good), Howler (he was wearing sunglasses inside the tent?!), Band Of Skulls, Damo Clark (his FSOG section was incredibly funny!), The Gaslight Anthem (i n c r e d i b l e), All Time Low, Bullet For My Valentine, SBTRKT, King Charles, Benjamin Francis Leftwich (who's voice I adore but I hate seeing him live as most of his stage talk is about being high), Two Door Cinema Club, Foo Fighters (best live band ever, fact), Deaf Havana (so happy for them opening main stage!), The Blackout, You Me At Six, Bombay Bicycle Club, Paramore (<333333333), The Courteeners (finally!), Foster The People, The Maccabees, Chris Ramsey, Pure Love (probably one of my favourite bands of the weekend, amazing live!), Twin Atlantic, Dry The River, Oberhofer, Don Broco (YES!), Jake Bugg, Enter Shikari, The Vaccines, Lower Than Atlantis, Young Guns (they played 'You Are Not' and I sobbed), Feeder, Theme Park (even though we embarrassingly danced through their sound check) and Kasabian (stand by the fact that they shouldn't have headlined, but they surprised me and their Neil Armstrong moon tribute was seriously cute).

(Although, due to wearing my Docs I had the sorest feet and couldn't stand up for 11 hours straight for 3 days and the fact I fell seriously ill during The Vaccines (for the strangest reason) and I'm now on tablets and it hurts to move due to my abdominal pain, whatever, I've met Paramore)

I wish Leeds Fest was every day because honestly it's the best weekend of the year and I just love being in a muddy field watching my favourite and some really rad new bands with Em and it's as if nothing else matters like leaving home/starting uni/other scary stuff seems so far away (this is so cringe and cliche) but seeing what I call 'twinkies' aka campsites/bands/stages/ect is the best.
